We have industry knowledge that sets us apart from the competition.

Asset Assessments

We have the ability to plan, carry out and supervise field tests to measure system wide pressure and flow regimes. Trained in signing lighting and guarding and confined spaces. We are able to Install field test equipment that includes; Data loggers, Insertion flow meters, wrap around meters, pressure monitoring equipment, level sensors and meter pulse heads.

Topographical surveys of strategic monitoring points using theodolite and GPS levelling systems.
The collection of data to include: Plans & drawings, schematics of network to be modelled, Service Reservoir, Water Pumping Stations (Curves), base demand data, domestic demand data, large / medium industrial users etc.

Data retrieval – retrieve data by downloading to portable PC / Laptop or remotely from corporate systems.
Analysis, interpretation and validation of data – ensure data is accurate before data transfer to model. Further on-site investigations are required should downloaded data be outside of pre-defined limits.

We are able to implement Asset stock assessment, e.g. number of WTWs, SRVS, Pumping stations, mains length, meters, DMA’s, common supply pipes, age bands and material types of services, abandoned assets. We can implement Performance assessment, e.g. number of water quality failures, Drinking Water Safety Plan risks, burst analysis, DG failures, Regulatory failures, number of leaks repaired, pressure logging for DG2, risk analysis, customer minutes lost, trends on fixed point sampling.

Our Condition assessments include deterioration models, failure mode analysis, NRR and cathodic protection.

Our Capacity assessments, e.g. headroom analysis, Pumping station hours run, SRV turn-over, water time of travel, new development, peak hour/peak day demand as % average can be reported back with full audit trails.

Other types of assessment we can undertake are Environment assessment, e.g. energy efficiency, carbon footprint, Customer service, e.g. customer contacts and complaints analysis. Activity analysis, e.g. number of jobs undertaken, repeat jobs, alarms, out of hours work. Cost analysis e.g. cost of reactive and planned capex, operational and maintenance costs, intervention costs.
