All spans/pipes/mains were loaded into a GIS environment and prepared for assessment. Each pipe (30'000km's) was tested against the EA flood boundaries. Dependant on where the pipe resided we could automatically assess if the Asset was at risk of flooding.

Mines Analysis
Is there a risk?

Has subsidence ever affected your assets? This analysis identified all those words within the Landline dataset. We automatically wrote out the co-ordinates for each word such as Mines, Tips, Shafts and Workings. We then correlates subsidence activity with these locations on a very large scale!
Criticality
Backtracking Analysis

Using the very latest in GIS technology we assesed tens of 1000's of assets and assigned a criticality level. Assets were traced in a non-hydraulic manner until a natural end, i.e. closed valve. This painted a zonal picture and gave us something we could start aggregating demand values against.
